beijing, china (://
Monday, August 31, 2009 @ 12:42 PM im back! :D
im must say, china was more awesome than i thought it'll ever be. the flight there was in my own words, torture. sure, 6 hours doesn't seem like alot of time to spend in a plane but heck, after eating airplane food, it does seem like forever and forever of suffering. reached china at 6am. met the tour guide and went for breakfast. we couldn't check in at 8 because some people in the hotel didn't check out of their rooms yet. so, we went to some fake selling shopping centre named yashiew or something like that. we went for lunch and checked in soon after. i went to some acrobat show the same night. gosh, those kids can fly. day 2. visited many many altars(earth, heaven, sun and moon altar). after, i went to tiananman square at around 2 something. and yes, the place is as big as they say. but it was kind of empty. after that, we went to Dr. Tea to listen to an explanation on chinese tea. mum bought rm300 worth of tea even after she sweared not to buy any. day 3. after breakfast, we visited the jade factory. the jade there were HUGE. but of course, they were expensive like hell. i still bought a hand phone strap anyways ;P after the jade factory, i climbed the TEMBOK HEBAT CINA. it was tiring like hell but but but, i got a medal for climbing the wall (though i did have to buy it myself). after, we went for a day 4. went to the forbidden city. that place was HUGE. the younger sister was lost for half an hour. after we left, we went to the lama temple, imperial college and the confucius temple. was supposed to see the bird's nest but ran out of time (they needed to block of the whole area around tiananmen square because of national day parade rehearsal) day 5. i went into a mosque that looked like some ancient chinese temple. there wasn't even the dome you see everywhere in malaysia. seems that 10% of chinese in china are muslim. pfft. then, to the pearl factory we went. totally unexpectedly, my sister got a free pearl. and i didn't get one. after, i went to this ULTRA SUPER DUPER HUGE kuan yin temple. then, the group camwhored at the bird's nest and the water cube. going home day. did a little shopping and went for the most awesome vegetarian lunch. saygoodbye to the tour guide, christie and headed for the airport for the 4.30pm flight. the plane circled around for half an hour before we took off. played wonderword for hellknowshowlong (i couldn't even find the wonderword-.-) reached home at 12 something midnight. pictures shall come out soon :) you pile of cat sick. go away. my blogging sucks today ): |
