i haven't really posted a long post for awhile so have fun reading my twisted perspective of clothing and trends.

lets list down the currents trends. shall we?

1. little miss shirts
2. picture editing
3. hoodies
4. branded t-shirts
5. camwhoring
6. sling bags (zinc, billabong etc)
7. uber small bags (mostly dj people trend)

those were some of those i could point out based on my view. apologies to those whom i have insulted if you don't like to be called a trend follower but you own/do anything above.

trends. i think people do follow these (sometimes) ridiculous things because of peer pressure. we, as human beings tend to follow a set of actions that others are doing. for example, we'll take the little miss shirts. suddenly there's a whole bunch of people who own that shirt. you think it's cute so you get one too. another person follows and there goes a chain reaction. boo yah. there we have a trend.

sometimes, it's not really our fault that we like them and want to have the same thing too. it's normal to want something nice. right? we can't just watch someone get the best thing and just sit there thinking "ooh. that's cute. maybe we'll just let her be the only one to have it" . if you do think like that, one word for you. wow.

for me, i fancy doing/owning some stuff on the list above but, my family's not the kind of trend follower so i can't really help that i've never been into a billabong, quicksilver, body glove, diesel or roxy shop before. i'm following my family trend. and if you're guessing whether i have any branded t-shirts or whatever, i've never owned one in my life. never.

instead of going into those kind of places/shops, i prefer shopping at shops where the clothes don't make you into a walking billboard. places like smart connection are quite good places to shop for those who's families are like mine. especially when you're on a budget and you want something that won't blow holes into your pocket.

maybe i still do envy those who do have those kind of things. but where i am doesn't let me have that kind of luxury. or maybe im just too poor. probably.

maybe im just jealous of everyone else.
